 提到加速器，大家可能就會想到IE 8中那個有趣的新功能，但事實上，具備加速器條件的軟件其實并不止IE 8這一個。Windows 7全新的架構(gòu)為加速器提供了很好的條件，也就是說，Windows 7本身就是一個加速器的平臺。

在Windows 7中，微軟給開發(fā)者提供了更多便利用于向Windows 7中添加他們自己軟件的加速器。同時，微軟還強調(diào)，Windows 7中的加速器將擁有不遜色于IE 8中的加速器的功能。比如，當用戶點擊Word文檔中的地址時，系統(tǒng)會調(diào)用默認瀏覽器，比如，閃游，并在瀏覽器中自動在地圖上顯示出地址位置，很酷吧？

Accelerators are by no means restricted to Internet Explorer 8. In fact, Microsoft has worked to build the necessary infrastructure in Windows 7 in order to deliver the fertile soil necessary to make Accelerators pervasive throughout the operating system. Just as IE8 features a collection of accelerators, so can any application running on top of Windows 7. In regard to functionality, the accelerators in Windows 7's programs can cover the same range of services as those featured in Internet Explorer 8.
