1月7日消息，針對有用戶投訴注冊域名時填寫的地址等用戶信息可以被公開搜索一事，萬網(wǎng)發(fā)布聲明稱，基于whois服務向公眾提供域名注冊信息的查詢，是國際社會的通行做法。

    以下為全文：

　　作為ICANN（國際互聯(lián)網(wǎng)名稱與數(shù)字地址分配機構）和CNNIC（中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)絡信息中心）的合作伙伴，中國萬網(wǎng)根據(jù) ICANN頒布的《whois查詢服務》辦法規(guī)定以及工業(yè)和信息化部頒布的《中國互聯(lián)網(wǎng)絡域名管理辦法》，正常履行著“域名注冊服務商要公開域名注冊信息”的職責�；�于whois服務向公眾提供域名注冊信息的查詢，是國際社會的通行做法，也是國內(nèi)外所有域名注冊服務商多年來一致提供的服務。中國萬網(wǎng)也吸取部分客戶的意見和建議，積極投入資源為客戶提供更加優(yōu)質(zhì)的域名查詢、域名注冊以及域名信息保護增值服務。

　　ICANN《whois查詢服務》中關于公開域名注冊信息譯文：

　　whois服務提供公共通道獲取已注冊域名數(shù)據(jù)，目前包括注冊域名持有人聯(lián)系信息。域名注冊時搜集到的注冊信息，以及前述信息可以使用的方法均在ICANN為通用頂級域名制定的協(xié)議里進行規(guī)定。例如，ICANN要求授權注冊商搜集并免費向公眾提供注冊域名名稱、域名服務器、注冊商、域名注冊日期、到期日期、注冊域名持有人聯(lián)系信息、技術聯(lián)系人和管理聯(lián)系人。

　　WHOIS services provide public access to data on registered domain names, which currently includes contact information for Registered Name Holders. For example, ICANN requires accredited registrars to collect and provide free public access to the name of the registered domain name and its nameservers and registrar, the date the domain was created and when its registration expires, and the contact information for the Registered Name Holder, the technical contact, and the administrative contact.

　　域名注冊管理機構和域名注冊服務機構應當公布域名注冊服務的內(nèi)容、時限、費用，提供域名注冊信息的公共查詢服務，保證域名注冊服務的質(zhì)量，并有義務向信息產(chǎn)業(yè)部提供域名注冊信息。
