 為了確保所有Windows用戶都能順利升級(jí)到Windows 7，微軟日前公布了一項(xiàng)名為Windows 7 Upgrade Paths Test Matrix(Windows 7升級(jí)通道測(cè)試矩陣圖)的計(jì)劃，但隨后就被微軟刪除了。但好在通過Bing搜索的快照還可以看到。

從Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP升級(jí)到Windows 7

此前微軟曾明確表示，XP用戶是無法通過升級(jí)安裝來升級(jí)到Windows 7的，只能可以通過購買升級(jí)光盤進(jìn)行全新安裝的方法進(jìn)行升級(jí)。但是比較奇怪的是，XP升級(jí)到Vista時(shí)支持的，然后就有人想了，既然XP升級(jí)到Vista是支持的，Vista升級(jí)到Windows 7又是可以的，那問題不就簡單了么？先升級(jí)到Vista再升級(jí)到Windows 7不就行了么？而事實(shí)上，已經(jīng)有人試過了，確實(shí)可以。

但是從Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT4, Windows 2000 或Windows XP直接升級(jí)到Windows 7是肯定不可能的了。

從Windows Vista升級(jí)到Windows 7

根據(jù)Windows 7 Upgrade Test Matrix的描述，Windows Vista正式版(未安裝SP1)是無法直接升級(jí)到Windows 7的。而安裝了SP1或SP2的Vista版本則是可以直接升級(jí)到Windows 7的。同時(shí)，不支持的不支持的升級(jí)類型包括：

* 跨架構(gòu)，比如，從32位升級(jí)到64位
* 跨語言
* 跨版本號(hào)，比如，從fre版本升級(jí)到chk版本
* 跨媒體類型

從Vista升級(jí)到Windows 7

* Windows Vista Starter (SP1, SP2)無法直接升級(jí)到Windows 7，哪怕是Starter版本
* Windows Vista Home Basic (SP1, SP2) 32-bit (x86)和 64-bit (x64)可以升級(jí)到 Windows 7 Home Basic, Home Premium和Ultimate 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64);
* Windows Vista Home Premium (SP1, SP2) 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64)可以升級(jí)到Windows 7 Home Premium，Ultimate 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64);
* Windows Vista Business (SP1, SP2) 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64)可以升級(jí)到Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise， Ultimate 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64);
* Windows Vista Enterprise (SP1, SP2) 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64)可以升級(jí)到Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64);
* Windows Vista Ultimate (SP1, SP2) 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64)可以升級(jí)到Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (x86) 和 64-bit (x64);

從 Windows 7升級(jí)到Windows 7

* 不支持Windows 7 M3 -  Windows 7 Beta
* 不支持Windows 7 M3 - Windows 7 RC
* 不支持Windows 7 M3 - Windows 7 RTM
* 支持Windows 7 Beta - Windows 7 RC
* 不支持Windows 7 Beta - Windows 7 RTM
* 支持Windows 7 RC - Windows 7 RTM

特殊版本W(wǎng)indows 7升級(jí)

由于，歐盟和韓國的反壟斷法案，微軟將會(huì)發(fā)布兩個(gè)特別版的Windows 7，Windows 7 E和Windows 7 N(也有人稱Windows 7 K)。

* Windows 7 Starter N,,E -  Windows 7 Starter N,E，Windows 7 Home Premium N,E，Windows 7 Professional N,E 和Ultimate N,E
*  Windows 7 Home Basic N,E - Windows 7 Home Basic N, E或Windows 7 Home Premium N,E Professional N,E和Ultimate N,E
* Windows 7 Home Premium N, E, 升級(jí)到 Windows 7 Home Premium N,E ，Windows 7 Professional N,E和 Ultimate N,E
* Windows 7 Professional N, E升級(jí)到Windows 7 Professional N, E和Windows 7 Ultimate N,E
* Windows 7 Enterprise N, E升級(jí)到Windows 7 Enterprise N,E
