 設(shè)備和打印機(jī)是Windows 7中的基本組件，也就是Vista中設(shè)備管理器的加強(qiáng)版。當(dāng)連接XBOX或打印機(jī)時(shí)，設(shè)備和打印機(jī)會(huì)提供個(gè)性化，易于使用的用戶界面。

當(dāng)用戶創(chuàng)建設(shè)備的快捷方式時(shí)，用戶可以輕松獲取設(shè)備進(jìn)程和狀態(tài)。每當(dāng)用戶插入移動(dòng)設(shè)備時(shí)，Windows 7可以準(zhǔn)確識(shí)別出設(shè)備名稱，甚至還有設(shè)備圖片，而不會(huì)只顯示“某手機(jī)”，“未知打印機(jī)”等。

如果是存儲(chǔ)卡，用戶可以導(dǎo)出圖片、視頻、聲音和其他文件到任何地方。如果是照相機(jī)，Windows 7可以提供打印，發(fā)送，導(dǎo)出和上傳等功能。如果是手機(jī)，Windows 7可以完成發(fā)送/接受短信，備份和同步等功能。（Nokia PC套件也不過如此吧。）
