 曾在美國影院中大受歡迎的主題就要數(shù)救贖了，影片中，往往墮落的英雄主角們會在犯錯(cuò)后重新獲得救贖的機(jī)會。

而對于微軟而言，需要救贖的是產(chǎn)品，而不是人。很出人意料，Windows系統(tǒng)再次令人激動起來，而且這顯然不是運(yùn)氣好。微軟Windows和Windows Live團(tuán)隊(duì)經(jīng)理Steven Sinofsky和Windows內(nèi)核部門副主管Jon DeVaan在這次的Windows救贖中起到了舉足輕重的作用。革命性的產(chǎn)品離不開好的管理。

目前的微軟可以說是到了緊要關(guān)頭。全球經(jīng)濟(jì)正在衰退，軟件銷售不利。微軟甚至無法以未來季度的盈利給華爾街帶來一絲生氣。

微軟不得不勒緊褲腰帶過日子并推出優(yōu)秀的產(chǎn)品。在這方面，Windows部門是個(gè)很好的例子。Windows 7 Beta可以說是獲得了極大好評，也可以說是Vista涅槃后的鳳凰浴火重生。而Vista和Windows 7之間的一大區(qū)別就是管理。

現(xiàn)在Windows 7所帶來的，大概也就是2年前我希望Vista做到的。解決了Vista的問題并使Windows 7獲得了新生。即使是在Beta階段，Windows 7顯然是個(gè)穩(wěn)定而又激動人心的產(chǎn)品。這正是Vista本該做到卻沒有做到的。微軟大概是在XP發(fā)布后六年發(fā)布Vista的。而在SP2發(fā)布后，XP已經(jīng)很穩(wěn)定了，因此，Vista想要超越XP需要作出極大改進(jìn)。而Windows 7，正做到了這一點(diǎn)。
