 此前，曾有傳言稱，微軟將不會提供XP→Windows 7的升級，來自商業(yè)周刊的消息稱微軟可能會發(fā)售一款價格相對便宜的升級版本。下面是微軟的官方陳述：

微軟將會盡力使所有用戶都能輕松升級至WIndows 7。通過升級工具、向?qū)б约昂献鲝S商的努力，我們相信這將會是一次愉快的過程。另外，對于XP用戶，如果想要體驗WIndows 7的話，我們建議購買新電腦。因為XP用戶只能通過全新安裝的方式升級到Windows 7。
