 此前，當(dāng)微軟宣布Windows 7會(huì)有六個(gè)版本時(shí)，相信多數(shù)人都情不自禁地抖了一下。大多數(shù)人連Vista的版本還沒(méi)理清，又要陷入Windows 7版本的迷惑中去了。但是微軟對(duì)此卻很有信心， 因?yàn)橛蠳etbooks。

由于Windows 7在內(nèi)核上作出了改進(jìn)，對(duì)硬件需求遠(yuǎn)比Vista要低，也就是說(shuō)，現(xiàn)在正在運(yùn)行Windows XP的機(jī)器都能流暢運(yùn)行Windows 7，至少Windows 7 Starter版本可以。但是，由于Starter版本只能運(yùn)行三個(gè)程序的限制，微軟預(yù)計(jì)會(huì)有不少Netbooks用戶會(huì)升級(jí)到Windows 7 Home Basic或Home Premium。

目前，HP已經(jīng)確認(rèn)會(huì)在其Netbooks上預(yù)裝Windows 7，而且Windows 7 Beta在SONY VAIO P上運(yùn)行相當(dāng)流暢。不過(guò)到底Windows 7 Starter版本能否促使用戶升級(jí)到Home Basic，而不是Linux還需要時(shí)間來(lái)證明。
